MANCEF's Signature Event, the Commercialization of Micro and Nano Systems Conference

COMS - Commercialization of Micro and Nano Systems Conference 2008
The Westin Resort & Spa
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

31 August - 4 September 2008

"Mexico ... by far the most cost-competitive country, with business costs, including currency, real estate, taxes and utilities, adding up to be 20.5% cheaper than the United States..."

- National Post, 28 March 2008

Are you trying to bring emerging small technologies from concept to marketplace? COMS is not just about the science (like so many other Micro/Nano meetings) but how to turn research and theory into commercial products. At COMS, MNT (Micro-Nano Technology) leaders representing regions all over the globe gather to help you:

  • Learn from industry visionaries who are shaping the micro and nano landscape
  • Network with investors and technologists from the MNT industry and venture community
  • Meet with the leading customers and end users of small technology
  • Discover the latest developments and trends in MNT

See the program, be a sponsor, exhibit, or register online.

"21st Century Medicine: Breakthroughs and Challenges" Conference and Exhibition
The Royal Institute of British Architects, London
26-27 November 2008

Some of the most exciting research in the world is being undertaken in the field of medicine. Many challenges exist in identifying disease at the earliest possible stage and preventing and treating cancer, congenital, degenerative and infectious diseases -- and increasingly, lifestyle-induced diseases such as diabetes.

Even greater challenges exist in bringing affordable, safe medicines to a wide population, and in enabling the elderly to remain active and maintain their faculties for as long as possible.

Hear what international experts think the greatest medical challenges are, and how they can be met using the new technologies to unravel the secrets of illness and create the means whereby we can all live longer, healthier lives.
